HK Driving Game builds its virtual streets with Open3Dhk 3D map data and APIs provided by the Lands Department of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

遊戲的概念，源於開發者報考車牌後才發現：培正道原來分為四段不同考試路線。部分路段只能在星期日或平日晚上練習，其中一段更是全天禁止學車；在真正開車之前，單是認路已充滿障礙。
開發者先利用 Open3Dhk 地圖製作電腦原型，再買下一套二手 Logitech 軚盤，在虛擬培正道上反覆練習。考牌成功後，新的問題隨之而來：若遊戲只能在電腦使用，大部分考車人士仍然難以受惠。
於是，原型被重新設計成手機上的認路練習遊戲——讓新牌仔探索香港道路，也讓每一位「學神」在上試場前認好路線，多一分熟悉，多一分信心。
The idea began with a discovery made only after the developer booked a driving test: Pui Ching Road contains four separate test routes. Some sections could be practised only on Sundays or weekday evenings; one was off-limits to learner drivers around the clock.
Using Open3Dhk data, the developer built a desktop prototype, bought a second-hand Logitech steering wheel and drove the virtual streets repeatedly. The prototype was eventually rebuilt for mobile — a route-learning game designed to give learners greater familiarity and confidence.
遊戲推出 Beta 後，先後完成三輪 TestFlight 測試。來自 Threads 社群的意見、錯誤回報與鼓勵，協助遊戲由概念逐步走到正式上架。
Three TestFlight rounds and more than 600 beta testers turned an individual idea into a community-built release. Feedback, bug reports and encouragement from Threads helped carry the project from prototype to the App Store.
